Grades 9-12 / Professional Development
At least one to two students with AD/HD (attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder) can be found in each high school
class-room. None of these students learns in the same way; AD/HD
is a complex issue that affects students differently from one day
to the next and even from one class period to the next.
Six high school seniors, diagnosed with AD/HD, participate
in a panel discussion and share specific strategies their teach-ers
have used to help them learn and cope with the inevitable stressors
that accompany teenage life. Topics include organ-izing, time management,
memory, and focusing and sustaining attention.
This program was produced with the cooperation of
Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
(CHADD).
