About Trina
J. Cutter, President & CEO

of Ohio, Inc.

Trina Cutter was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. After graduating
from Lincoln High School in 1975 she joined the United States
Air Force. During her four years in the service she received
numerous leadership awards including Airman of the Month,
Quarter and Year.
She began higher education while still
in the service and graduated in 1982 from the Walter Cronkite
School of Journalism
and Telecommunications at Arizona State University. In August
2002 she completed her Master's Degree in Not-for-Profit
Management from the Mendoza College of Business at Notre
Dame University in South Bend, Indiana.
The early years of
her television career involved behind-the-scenes documentary
production and public affairs programming. Trina
has been associated with numerous national productions
on both PBS and the Discovery Channel and has won several national
production awards and regional Emmys. She has worked at
public
television stations in Utah, Toledo, Ohio, Missouri and
Indiana.
In 2002 Trina was recognized by the St. Joseph County,
Indiana, YWCA Tribute to Women in the Business and Professional
category
for her personal growth and outstanding contributions to
the enrichment of the community. During her last year in
Indiana, Trina received the governor's highest civilian
award for community service.
Trina returned to her roots
in northeast Ohio in 2002 to serve as the President & Chief
Executive Officer of PBS 45 & 49. She is also the president
of the Alliance (a statewide organization representing Ohio
public television
and radio stations and the Reading Radio Service), president
of Ohio Educational Television Stations, chair of the
National Small Station Association and a member of the National
Affinity Group Coalition. She is also a member of the National
Alliance
of Regional Stewardship. Locally Trina serves on the
Build
Mahoning Valley Constructive Dialogue Committee, the
Stark County Leadership Academy Committee, the Leadership
Stark
County Citizenship Day Committee, the Canton Forum Committee
and the Greater Akron Musical Association Board and is
a member of the Stark County Regional Planning Commission.
Trina was most recently selected as Crain’s Cleveland
Business, Women of Note which honors the rich contributions
of 12 of the most influential ladies in northeast Ohio.
She is a graduate of leadership programs in Stark County,
Akron,
Toledo and Missouri. |
