Super Why
Weekdays at 7:30 a.m. (begins
Sept. 4) and 4:30 p.m. (begins Sept. 3)
Super Readers to the rescue! With a breakthrough
interactive approach to reading education, classic fairytales
with a preschool twist and empowering young heroes, Super
Why is the only preschool property created to help children
learn the fundamentals of reading through interactive storybook
adventures.
The standout, imagination-stimulating series
focuses on the adventures of four fairytale friends who
transform into reading-powered
superheroes: Alpha Pig with Alphabet Power, Wonder Red
with Word Power, Princess Presto with Spelling Power, Super
Why
with the Power to Read and Super You with the Power to
Help. Together, they are Super Readers who jump into books
(literally)
to find answers to everyday preschool challenges and embark
on exciting adventures. |

Word World
Weekdays at 9 a.m. (begins
Sept. 4) and 3 p.m. (begins Sept. 3)
Welcome to a colorful, word-rich place where
friends have fun and meet challenges through word play. Each
episode of Word World is a fun narrative built around a wacky
troupe of WordFriends, who are characters first and words
second.
WordFriends invite the preschool viewer to
join them on comic adventures, where problems can only be
resolved
by “building” the
right word. Word building is a unique moment when children
witness a word form and then “morph” into the
thing it is! Words come alive, save the day and become a
child’s best friend in this 3-D animated series. Learning
to form words has never been this fun! |

WordGirl
Fridays at 9:30 a.m. (begins
Sept. 14)
Special Labor Day premiere on Monday, Sept. 3 at 7:30
a.m. and 9 a.m.
This new PBS Kids Go series chronicles the
adventures of Becky Botsford, a mild-mannered fifth grader
who, at the call of duty, transforms into WordGirl — caped
crusader and definition dynamo. Featuring perilous predicaments,
cliffhanger endings and a loyal monkey sidekick, WordGirl gives elementary school children a fun and unique way to
learn the power of new words. |
