The company that created the Muppets, “Fraggle Rock,” “Bear in the Big Blue House” and some of the world’s most beloved characters continues its strong tradition of quality entertainment for children with this fun and engaging animated science-readiness series.

Produced by The Jim Henson Company, Sid the Science Kid is a preschool series that embraces and celebrates the curiosity of its young viewers and encourages them to explore the foundations of science in everyday occurrences, such as melting Popsicles and sneezing.

The series features an energetic and inquisitive preschooler named Sid, who tackles the everyday ideas that preschoolers find fascinating:

  • Why do bananas go brown?

  • Why are my shoes shrinking?

  • How does a bird fly without a plane?

Throughout the 40 episodes, viewers will be introduced to Sid’s friends and family who help him find the answers to these questions.
